Morin escribe con Anne Brigitte Kern un libro de título-programa: Tierra-Patria. La era planetaria ya empezó — finanzas, virus, clima y migraciones no respetan fronteras. Pero nuestra conciencia sigue dividida en compartimentos nacionales. Falta reconocer lo evidente: somos hijos de una misma Tierra. With Anne Brigitte Kern, Morin writes a book whose very title is a program: Earth-Homeland. The planetary era has already begun — finance, viruses, climate and migration respect no borders. Yet our consciousness remains divided into national compartments. What's missing is recognizing the obvious: we are children of one same Earth.

La democracia no es homogeneizar ni fragmentar: es el diálogo de los antagonismos, la unitas multiplex a escala política. Necesita conflicto regulado y una democracia cognitiva: acceso al conocimiento como condición de ciudadanía. Sin saber compartido no hay decisión compartida. Democracy is neither homogenizing nor fragmenting: it is the dialogue of antagonisms, the unitas multiplex at political scale. It needs regulated conflict and a cognitive democracy: access to knowledge as a condition of citizenship. Without shared knowledge there is no shared decision.

Un presupuesto participativo, una asamblea vecinal, una junta de aguas. La gente deja de ser "administrada" y vuelve a ser ciudadana: decide sobre lo que la afecta. Lo común se aprende practicándolo en pequeño, donde cada voz todavía pesa. A participatory budget, a neighborhood assembly, a water board. People stop being "administered" and become citizens again: they decide what affects them. The common is learned by practicing it small, where each voice still counts.
Planeta — la cuenca compartidaPlanet — the shared watershed
Un río que cruza tres países; una atmósfera que es de todos y de nadie. La biosfera es el bien común por excelencia: nadie puede acapararla sin dañarse a sí mismo. La interdependencia no es ideal moral — es hecho físico. A river crossing three countries; an atmosphere that belongs to all and to none. The biosphere is the common good par excellence: no one can hoard it without harming themselves. Interdependence isn't a moral ideal — it's a physical fact.
Sistema — la emergencia globalSystem — the global emergency
Una pandemia o el cambio climático lo dejan desnudo: o cooperamos, o caemos juntos. Ninguna frontera detiene un virus ni una sequía. La comunidad de destino dejó de ser metáfora; es la condición concreta de la era planetaria. A pandemic or climate change lays it bare: either we cooperate, or we fall together. No border stops a virus or a drought. The community of destiny stopped being a metaphor; it is the concrete condition of the planetary era.

Earth-Homeland keeps the diversity of cultures — it is unitas multiplex, not uniformity. A single-office planet would be disjunction reversed: the fusion that crushes the singular.

No es un nacionalismo más grandeIt isn't a bigger nationalism
No se trata de un "nosotros los humanos contra ellos". No hay un "ellos". La identidad terrenal incluye; no necesita un enemigo exterior para sostenerse. Es pertenencia, no trinchera. This is not a "we humans versus them". There is no "them". Earthly identity includes; it needs no outer enemy to sustain itself. It is belonging, not a trench.

No es utopía evasivaIt isn't an evasive utopia

This community of destiny doesn't erase the local: it raises it to planetary scale. Community isn't chosen between neighborhood and world; it nests in both.
